Get ready everyone because this blog post is 2

Leaving Rome also saw me leaving my friends as
well. I has only one day in Florence, but there was only one thing that I
really came to see. Michelangelo's David.
I had preordered my tickets, so I walked right
into the Galleria dell'Accademia like a boss. The galleria is actually
very small. When I first walked in I thought the David would be in some place
far in the back, but I turned a corner and there it was down the hall.
I have no real appreciation for art, but seeing
the David in person is something special. Like usual pictures were prohibited,
but I saw some other tourists taking photos and there is no way they are more
awesome than I am.
After looking at the David for about an hour I decided to take a look at the rest of Florence. Walking around, I felt as though I were in a Disney movie, as cheesy as that sounds. But when I saw St. Maria's cathedral with the green and white marble, Disney is all I could think of. Plus I saw Pinocchio.
To me, Europe is like middle earth in Lord of the Rings. You travel for an hour and you are in a place with completely different geography, language, and architecture than the place before. This belief was definitely reaffirmed when I saw Venice.
I had a total of 8 hours in Venice before I took a night train to Dijon. In that time I think I walked around the whole city/island, or what ever one is supposed to call it.
One thing that surprised me about Venice, was just how touristy it is. There were people everywhere, and in the narrow streets, it became very cumbersome. Other than that Venice was amazing.
The main things to see are the canals, and unique architecture, but I also wanted to see St. Marco's basilica. Unfortunately, it was under renovation, and was completely covered. I have included a picture of my disappointed face, which I wore for the remainder of walking around the plaza.
I walked all over and took lots of pictures. The only other notable to cover was a small museum of musical instruments. I liked it because it reminded me of my family. My little brother plays the Oboe, and they had 400 year old Obos.
This is where I stop writing though, so enjoy the pictures.
