Barcelona and the Netherlands

I've been a little lazy lately with my blog, so here is another double whammy.

My last few trips in Europe was Barcelona, and the Netherlands. I say the Netherlands because I ended up traveling to 3 different cities in the short time I was there.

First, Barcelona.
Barcelona is one of the most incredible cities I have ever been to. The architecture was incredible with all of the Gaudi art. My favorite was probably the Sagrada Familia, which is still under construction! I hope to come back in a decade to see the finished product, but I'm not very optimistic on Barcelona's deadline.
The other great thing about Barcelona was the night life. I stayed at an amazing hostel that took everyone out at night. Everything is so cheap compared to other parts of western Europe, it was kind of a relief. One thing you have to look out for in Barceona is theft. The one weekend I was there, 3 people had stuff stolen from them.

The next weekend I was in the Netherlands, visiting an old Korea friend named Marco. Marco lives in a beautiful town called Utrecht. UofL actually has an exchange there, and I have to say I would have much rather stayed there than Lyon.
My time in Amsterdam was very efficient. We explored the city, visited the Anne Frank museum, and of course we walked through the red light district. Afterwards we went to Eindhoven to see my 3rd European football game. Eindhoven was very nice, but unfortunately, the game was not only boring, it was one of the worst games my friend had ever seen. It actually depressed him. Being a long time flames fan, I am used to disapointment, so I didn't feel to bad. It just made for better partying that night.
